In the highly regulated United States energy market, transferring or enrolling customers with a utility provider requires strict adherence to state and federal consumer protection compliance guidelines. Every tele-sales enrollment must go through a mandatory Third-Party Verification (TPV) process. During this process, an independent, recorded voice-system or third-party agent must confirm that the customer understands the plan structure, acknowledges contract terms, and has the authority to make decisions for the service address.
The client operated a large tele-sales setup, but struggled with severe bottlenecks:
- Sales agents manually dialed separate verification numbers based on the customer's state.
- Incomplete customer information, spelling errors, and lost paper trails led to a massive percentage of verification rejections.
- Matching call recording audits to CRM records was a slow, manual process leading to lost revenues and regulatory risks.

What We Built
We designed and developed an enterprise Customer Acquisition & Third-Party Verification (TPV) platform integrated directly into the CRM application. The platform streamlines the entire acquisition pipeline from initial contact to successful supplier switchover, establishing a rigid, automated transaction lifecycle.
The system automates the following key operational steps:
- Structured Customer Enrollment: The tele-sales agent collects detailed customer information, service address, utility account data, energy plan structure, pricing, contract terms, and consents directly within the CRM enrollment form with active client-side validations.
- Automated Transaction ID Generation: Upon form submission, the platform immediately generates a unique, non-duplicable Transaction ID mapped to sales metadata, timestamps, and agent activity records.
- State-Based Routing & TPV Transfer: Using the customer's geographic state, the system automatically retrieves the appropriate state-compliant TPV contact logic, transferring the call to an independent verification environment to record predefined compliance responses.
- Instant CRM Verification Status: The verification call outcomesApproved, Failed, Pending, or Callback Requiredare fed directly back to the CRM in real time, locking the secure recording to the unique Transaction ID for easy compliance auditing.
